Biography
Augusto Vignali, born in Parma in 1949, is an Italian artist, illustrator, and graphic designer. He attended the Paolo Toschi Art Institute in 1964. His artistic career began in 1969 with his first solo exhibition of watercolors and graphic works at the Galleria del Libro in Parma. From 1974 onwards, he worked as an art director and graphic designer for the Fiorucci brand, contributing to brand, packaging, and visual communication projects. After the early 1980s, he focused primarily on graphic design. In the 2000s, he undertook large-scale drawing and decoration projects for the interiors of Costa Crociere ships. His work focuses on the relationship between line, typography, everyday signs, irony, and visual culture.
