Biography
Birce Özateş Meral, born in Ankara in 1972, is a painter and visual arts teacher. She completed her primary and secondary education in Bandırma, Balıkesir, and her high school education in Balıkesir. In 1992, she studied at the Department of Painting and Art Education at Dokuz Eylül University, Buca Faculty of Education. After being appointed to Kastamonu Merkez Atatürk Primary School in 1998, she worked in Kastamonu Taşköprü and Balıkesir Ayvalık. She continues her professional life as a visual arts teacher at Bursa Osman Şevki Uludağ Anatolian High School. The artist, who has participated in various group exhibitions, continues to produce works using different painting techniques, primarily oil painting.
