Biography
He was born in Siverek in 1947. He graduated from the Painting Department of Istanbul Atatürk Education Institute in 1971. He received his Bachelor's degree from the Painting Department of Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts in 1985. In 1987, he received his "Proficiency in Art" from the Painting Department of the Social Sciences Institute of Dokuz Eylül University. He became an Associate Professor in 1990 and a Professor in 1996. He worked in the Painting and Sculpture Department of Dokuz Eylül University Buca Faculty of Education and the Graphic Design Department of Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Fine Arts. He was appointed Head of the Painting Department in 1998. He retired from the Head of the Painting Department of Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Fine Arts in 2001. He currently works in his private studio in Urla, İzmir.
