Biography

Born in Konya in 1954, Emre Senan graduated from İzmir Maarif College in 1971. After studying engineering for one year at Boğaziçi University, he left. He then studied Graphic Design at the Applied Industrial Arts High School of the State Academy of Fine Arts. During his student years, he worked in animation at Istanbul Reklam and later became an assistant at the school he graduated from. Emre Senan, who produces book covers and illustrations for the publishing world, had his book "Karakatür" published by Metis Publications. In addition to drawing cartoons for the press, he also did volunteer designs for civil society organizations. He became the founder, partner, and creative director of the advertising agencies Yorum, Markom Reklamcılık, Klan, and Euro RSCG. He won many awards in graphic design, cartoon, and animation competitions both in Turkey and abroad. His works have been exhibited and accepted into museums in Canada, Switzerland, Germany, Iran, Australia, the Czech Republic, France, and Korea. Actively involved in contemporary art, Senan has held 15 solo exhibitions both in Turkey and abroad, participated in group exhibitions, and served as a jury member in various national and international competitions. She exhibited a work and conducted a workshop at the 8th GraphIst. She served as a member of the international jury at the 9th Tehran Poster Biennial. She won an award at the Breclaw Small Graphics Biennial. She is a member of the Animation Filmmakers Association and the Turkish Graphics Association.
