Biography
Born in Istanbul in 1941, Güngör Taner studied at the Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts, Painting Department, in the Nurullah Berk Studio. In 1971, he worked in the Corneille Studio at the Salzburg Summer Academy; he held his first solo exhibition in Istanbul in 1981. Between 2002 and 2006, he carried out lithography and stone printing works within the İMOGA (Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts). He continues his artistic production and academic work at Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts in Istanbul.
