Biography
He was born in Tirebolu, Giresun province in 1937. He graduated from the Painting Department of Gazi Education Institute in 1961. Between 1982 and 2004, he worked as an art educator and Head of the Painting Department at Istanbul Atatürk Education Institute and Marmara University Atatürk Faculty of Education, Fine Arts Education Department. He became an associate professor in 1987 and a professor in 1995. He held over 40 solo exhibitions. He retired in 2004. Ramiz Aydın, who generally tried to emphasize the life stories of the people of the geography he lived in with poetic interpretations, focused on human types and regional subjects from Anatolia, social problems and social contradictions within calm, static postures with gray pastel color harmonies. In recent years, he has carried out a series of works on the War of Independence. He won many awards and first prizes in the competitions he participated in, especially with his figurative paintings. The artist, who has participated in many group exhibitions since the 1970s, has exhibited in the USA, Germany, and other countries. He participated in exhibitions and fairs promoting Turkish art in countries such as Austria, the Netherlands, Sweden, Japan, Romania, Bulgaria, Kuwait, and France.
