Biography
Ümit Doğan was born in Samsun in 1975. In 2003, he began learning and applying original printmaking techniques at Çamlıca Art House, where he had the opportunity to work with Semih Balcıoğlu, Mustafa PİLEVNELİ, and Süleyman Saim Tekcan. He received awards in the original printmaking category at the 71st State Painting and Sculpture Competition in 2012 and the 74th State Painting and Sculpture Competition in 2018. He also received a certificate of achievement at the 35th FISAE International Spain Exlibris Competition and a certificate of achievement at the 1st International Printmaking Biennial. In addition to his solo exhibitions, he has participated in group exhibitions at many institutions, including Galeri Işık, CKM Galeri, and İMOGA Art Space. Since 2003, he has been producing works primarily intaglio prints and engravings at the İMOGA studio.
